Private Roads
We currentley rent a propertey on a private road which is riddled with 10+ potholes and the street is only 9 houses long and the owner refuses to fix it and leaves the road a dirt track. were do we stand on this? Also the road owner next door to us has a large drive to fit 6-7 cars on, however they keep insisting on parking outside our house leaving myself and guests nowere to park. He has also place a large stone and TWO large tree stumps just in the border opposite our house as the road is only wide enough to fit 1 car down it make it very difficult to turn around. He also watches us in the mornings when we leave to work topless in his window and intimidate any visitors we have what can we do other than move as we have 18months left on the contract. The estate agent has been usless and so has the landlord refusing to argue our case.

There is no statutory body you can complain to - it is nothing to do with the council. If the landlord chooses to do nothing, that's it.
However, you need to look at the contract between you and your landlord - that is the only place that legally might have put an obligation on your landlord.
