Virgin Sunflower Oil
6 Answers
I live alone and hardly ever fry food so wanted a small bottle of oil. As the bottles of oil at the supermarket are huge and I don't like the taste of olive oil, when I spotted a small bottle of virgin sunflower oil I snapped it up. However on reading the label it appears it is for "sauces, salads, dips and marinades" - no mention of cooking. Have I wasted my money (don't do sauces, salads, dips and marinades!) Perhaps somebody who likes cooking more that I do can advise me.

I think what they are saying probably is that its too good just for cooking - and as it's in a small bottle they don't really expect you to use it for frying etc., but there is nothing to stop you doing that its just that it would probably work out more expensive as its a good quality oil...and maybe it has more of a taste that the bog standard sunflower oil..

It can be used for cooking including frying.
