Road Tax Fine

Hi

Just got a letter saying that we've not road taxed our car.

I'd completely forgot about it as it was at the same time I had to go away for a section and we never got the reminder

I know the reminder isn't a legal document but normally as soon as I get it i go straight to the post office and we never got it.

Is there any way of getting out of it do we just have to cut our losses with the fine?

Just out of curiosity, has anyone got away without paying the fine and if so what was the reason?

I doubt very much there will a way to get away with this

Not sure what go away for a section means but you knew yr car tax was due and it is so easy to get it now - online payments mean you don't even have to go to the PO now
There really is no excuse for not road tax - pay the fine and no excuses next time
