Not a problem smart1
yes bibble it is - but in the context of asking this particular question, sang is correct.
Oh that's probably true, but I was responding to your assertion that there was no such word
sorry PB - should've said that I meant in that context - apologies to all that took offence.
Ok everyone move along there's nothing to see here !
Don't worry, I have my tongue firmly in my cheek.
Who would be worrying PB?
We could rephrase the question, that would be easier - "who released this song that goes...." I've sung it myself many times, but I don't think that's what has had in mind!
What are you doing boxtops you've said sung ?
great idea boxtops!
OK - I now give up - seeya all tomorrow x
Eric Carmen wrote and recorded the original. I'm not aware of any link to Nilsson. Eric Carmen based it on a classical piece (Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor)
Song sung blue
Everybody knows one
Song sung blue
Every garden grows one

Me and you are subject to the blues now and then
But when you take the blues and make a song
You sing them out again
Sing them out again
Neil Diamond!
The song was sung to a military beat
Dad sang the song with marching feet
Now I'm singing the song with hope that glory
Will be the end of his army story.
Two similar sounding songs...Eric Carmen sang..All By Myself, and Nilsson sang Without You

Took me bloody ages to type that out cos I kept forgetting who sang what
