Chicken, pork, lamb or nut roast with all the trimmings, good selection of veg and red wine gravy for 5.99. It's a lesbian pub but they welcome all.
The Druids Head on Ditcling Road, opposite the Level, is another place for good value, decent roast.
Any of the Tin Drum restaurants (Hove, Seven Dials or St James St) do nice roast but it's a bit more expensive.
The Hop Poles in Middle Street is nice.
The Sussex on East Street was overpriced and not very good.
