Warning of commercial break?

I have recently had a icon appear in the top R/H corner of my TV screen, just before the commercials come on.

Years ago I was told this was an indication that the commercials were about to appear. It came in handy if one was recording on tape, it gave one time to pause the recording while the commercials where on.

Have they started to re-introduce it again or is my TV faulty?.

yes it tells you that the commercial break is due
