I'm not usually up this early, but the sound of young revellers making their way back to their holiday apartments has me up at this ungodly hour. The sky is a lovely red out to sea and there's not a drop of breeze. Not sure where WBM is this morning - apologies for starting this thread if he appears. I'll go stick the kettle on then....
Good morning, everyone. Chucking it down here in Kent this morning, hey ho! NoM, were those the young people who were in Salou earlier this week..?... much publicised in the papers here! We've not got much planned for this weekend yet, particularly if it stays wet. (Talking of wet - Boat Race at 310 pm today!)
These are Spanish youngsters whose family (I imagine) own properties here in Xeraco and use them for holidays and rental income. They are, for the most part, extremely well-behaved. But they leave piles of rubbish on the beach and drive way too fast down this street. I have to be extra careful when taking Alfie out.
You're right zzxxee. We had plenty of them yesterday.
You could bring your 13 year old up to Saul Junction, lunch in the Stables and a 20 minute boat ride, (£4 adults £2 under 16) They start at 1 O'Clock. A look round the Heritage Centre and a cup of tea or an ice cream. Just an idea for something different.
Lorks-a-lordy - Never Ever going out or drinking again - didn't get in til 4 this morning.. however, now crashed out on the couch watching Diagnosis Murder - you've got to love DIck Van Dyke!!!
