new mum rabbit

hi my rabbit gave birth to three babies last night . I brought the whole hutch into my utility to keep them warm.firstly should i have left the hutch outside because my rabbit is not used to being indoors.secondly should i keep her in the hutch with her babies because the hutch is low to the ground so i usually just leave the door open.plus anymore advise you can give me would be appriciated.

well, I had rabbits years ago, and they need to to away from the male when the babies are small, they don't like change really, but as long as they can be with their young in a secure place, then they should do fine..............good luck!..........................

I thought you are supposed to leave the rabbits alone when they have littlies. Mum will keep them warm. If you interfere too much, mum will get nervous and might eat the babies.

Just make sure there is enough bedding for them to keep warm, the mother will have made a nest using bedding plus her own fur. Don't be tempted to peep at them, leave them alone. Just ensure that you quickly put the food in and then leave (try to pick her some dandelions or sow thistle as this helps her milk, she also needs hay).
If you bother her by trying to look at the babies or touch them, she WILL eat them.
Wait until they are making their way into the living area under their own steam, it's then safe to pick them up and generally admire them.
