Fencing planning permission? and where to buy?

Does anyone know if I need planning permission to put a 3ft fence around my front garden? Its our own house, we are end of a terraced properties?



Anyone know where to buy a cheap fence?

No, you don't, but check your bounderies first, you don't want a legal battle with you neighbous, better yet, if your on good terms with them, speak to them first.

In general, you wouldn't need planning permission for a fence this size, however, some properties (especially new developments) may have restricted covenants in place that dictate the height and type of fence that you may put up (or even if you can put one up at all). Some even dictate as to which colours you are allowed to paint your own front door.

If you live in a newer property, it may be worth checking, especially if everyone else's garden seems to be left 'open plan'.
