grappa di pinot [sari]40%

hi could anyone please enlighten me as to what grappa di pinot [sari]40% is,im sure its a liqueur,maybe like sambuka,but thats just a guess,would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction,many thanks in anticipation.

It's more of a spirit, made using the left over stuff from Pinot Noir wine. Or something like that.

thank you,tried finding it on the net,to try and discover its taste and price range,but to no avail,thanks again.

fozzy - try "winesearcher.com", that might give you a lead. Or look on one of the wine sellers websites under "grappa" e.g. Wine Society, Tanners, Berry Brothers & Rudd, Majestic .....

I used to work for an Italian company and when we had dinner the grappa was served as a liquer with the coffee. When the glass was empty a bit of coffe was poured in, swilled around and drunk. Otherwise the grappa was poured into the coffee. Apparently it is made from the grape skins. Enjoy..............
