what do you think of him, and the first episode? and the new look tardis?

I've only ever seen full episodes with the current and last two doctors in, and i think David was the best, then this one, then Chris.

Plus it was one of those episodes that made me scared to go up stairs, the only other episodes that i've seen that have made me properly scared, were the ones with the clockwork people and madam Popadore (sp) and the episode with the stone angels, 'don't blink'

I didn't think i was going to like Matt Smith but I took to him straight away. An excellent first episode - can't wait to see the one with the Dalek in ww2 uniform.
The two episodes you mention (The girl in the fireplace and Blink) are two of my all time favourites.
It was OK, though I thought the beginning a bit childish (all the stuff with trying the food which went on a bit long) and thought Matt Smith a little overly manic in places. Having said that, David Tennant sometimes went a bit over-the-top manic and it didn't do him any harm.
Not sure about the girl though - she seemed to keep forgetting her Scottish accent!

"she seemed to keep forgetting her Scottish accent! "

I thought that too. Its rather odd as she is Scottish.

Thought the episode was ok, not too sure on the reworking of the theme tune though.

yeah with the food, perhaps he could have tried jsut as much but they show the films of her cooking for a couple of seconds, him eating for a couple of second him spitting it out, then moving on, which would indicate them getting frustrated with not being able to find anything, and get through the pointlessness and back to the action quicker.
i loved it, the series looks like it will be another great one, and Amelia, she is beautiful!

its cute how the young and old amelia actresses are cousins and hadn't met until rehersals. . . .
Awww I haven't realised that Mollykins, that's so sweet!

I have to say I love Dr Who and was so dubious about the new Dr but he has me sold :)

I watched the repeat on BBC3 last night and it just grew on me even more, some lovely lovely writing, especially with the scenes with the young Amelia.

I can't wait for the rest of the series now :)
it was brilliant and I cant wait for the next episode :-)
About her accent - as she is supposed to have lived in England for 12 years wouldn't she have lost her accent a little bit, if not completely?
He was better than I thought he would be but I'm not too impressed with the assistant. She's a bit drippy. Time will tell...
