The Answer Bank, Social Networking?

I know this is going to annoy a few people, but what has happened toTAB? Every category is now filled with peoples opinions and polls rather than actual questions, I haven't been here for a few years but it really is annoying, Get FaceBook or something and update your status' with this pointless nonsense.

The polls are mainly my own doing, we're trying to get to know you all - I don't think this is a bad thing. I also think you might be overstating the number of questions turned over to "opinion" rather than "facts," - this said however:

I think the joy of AB has always been in the human element of finding answers. For every answer you get here you will get a hint of that person and their bias' - you could call this "opinion" but it is often referred to as "experience" in other places.

We would like to introduce some social media aspects to AB however, the bonus of this of course if that you'll be able to run through all the questions of users you trust - hopefully eliminating some of the problems you might have with users offering their "opinion" on matters.

There are some ghosts in the machine guys! For example, I just wrote a nice long reply to you all which seems to have disappeared.

We should be able to spend some time on this soon!

Oh and in terms of "what haven't you replied?" It is because it was a weekend and a bank holiday! We only deal with emails during the week. The Big Ed should be replying soon.

I use that a lot coz life is for laughing
I tend to be a bit on the sensitive side although that is fast disappearing on here
I can speak my mind but don't particularly like hurting peoples feelings
I can't abide nasty comments and have been known to interject and get myself in hot water when they are unfair..lol
I get on with most on here but there's always the odd one who can't stand me..fairynuff !!
I love 60s music but then I love Nickleback and ACDC and Classical too...lol
