Today (or yesterday) I read that we would hear a short snippet of 80s music that would be a clue to how the story was panning out. It said it was a well known piece. Now I heard a lot of music in tonights show, but none that seemed to be a clue of any sort. Did anyone else read this item, or work out the piece of misic referred to?

Not sure what 80s music had any relevance, but the snippet of Life on Mars that was played in Luigis may be something
The BBC website for Ashes To Ashes has a list of music for each episode as it is transmitted. That might help.
And these are the songs in tonights ep

Uptown Girl - Billy Joel
Don’t You Want Me - Human League
Let's Dance - David Bowie
This is Not a Love Song - Public Image Ltd.
Being With You - Smokey Robinson
Red Red Wine - UB40
Give it up - KC and the Sunshine Band
War Baby - Tom Robinson
Video Killed the Radio Star - The Buggles
Love Plus One - Haircut One Hundred
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper
Video Killed the Radio Star - The Buggles was actually from 1979 though.

Thanks all. I had looked at the BBC but could not see the music for last night.
I would imagine it would Life on Mars that was played briefly as they faded out on Shaz
The guy in glasses from D and C is a reincarnation of Sam Tyler, that's my long term forecast!
Does anyone know the conection between the 6-6-20 on the police officer's epaulette( the one who is haunting Alex ) and the 6-6-20 scratched on her desk ? I missed some of the episode last night and wondered if I had missed the explanation.
nothings connected the 6 6 20 yet. It is a bible verse though,

When the trumpets sounded, the people shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the people gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so every man charged straight in, and they took the city.

2 episodes in, and theres some wacky theories going
