This will be interesting ....

Opened an account with bet365.com to place a bet on the National yesterday and deposited £30.
They match your deposit 100% some offer.
Bet £30 of own money on horses and £30 of bonus money on horses.
The winning horse (Don't push it) , I stacked £10 of bonus money with a E/W bet.
At 22-1 ended up with £147.50 ....
But the catch is that you have to bet a further £120 to get access to the £147.50 winnings.
So the worse can happen is ...
I bet £120 of real money + £30 I have lost already of real money and if the £120 dont win nowt ..then I get the £147.50 winnings ....so only £2.50 down ...
But if the £120 wins anything , then that is a bonus.
So far bet another £20 ...£17 on FA cup game for Spurs to win at different scores and put £3 on dog race (Yes they run on a Sunday!) and won £7 on dogs so far ...

Complicated or what and this is me ...who never gambles ever ..other than on the national ...

Yes it is complicated and I feel at the end of the day I will end up with nowt ...lol
Still the £147.50 was from the free £30 bet they gave me ...well £5 E/W of it and won at 22-1 ....

I have never, and will never, place a bet in my life. Gambling = misery....I know first hand.

I have but rarely.....OH does so if he wins I won't moan.

Lottery is a bit different though but I would put scratch cards in the same league.

My Dad was a gambling addict, as was his brother....

ummmm ....I agree ....but if your in control then it's ok.
Like drinking ...I can take it or leave it ...not had a drink since Xmas ,cause I can't be bothered to be honest.

When I say drink , I mean alcohol ...not drinking any fluids for 4 months would be rather terminal ...unless you eat high water contents foods of course.

TBH Randy....I know most people can control it. I just can't bring myself to place a bet because of what happened. I don't frown on others doing it.

ummmmm ...I understand ...

Someone in my family also lost everything due to gambling ...including going to prison for fraud to fund the addiction.
Also have a cousin in law who drank himself to death at the age of 47 ...terrible end also , liver failure ....
