I've just got one of these and, generally it is very good except, BBC HD is always out of sync it appears the picture is a bit in front of the speech. The lip symc facility in the menu does not assist, also I have my stereo system connected via the phono sockets( as it was on my now defunct Sky Box) and it, too seems to be behind which gives you the impression of living in a cave with an annoying echo effect.
Any ideas guys.

This is where you need to be .. A Humax forum specifically for this model. Read through and register/ask if needed.

I think you may need a Firmware update.

Read through the forum entries first.
Firmware is the software installed in the hardware to help it operate, also it has to be updated from time to time to cover latest specs, media types, formats, etc.
Humax would normally release this, although some people make their own .. and are generally known as "hacked firmware" These are not bad .. sometimes better than manufacturers own, and are often modifications to enable a disabled feature, or change look/feel of menus, etc.
See how you get on.

Thanks again, I'll wade through this lot and get back if nothing improves. Interestingly I phoned LG (my TV manufacturer) and they say there is an update for the telly that may well assist they are going to send me it on a disc
