Yes, I always apply the little grey cells first, and failing that I raid my reference books. If still nowhere, Googling comes next (invaluable usually!), and only then, if I've still drawn a blank, do I put a question to the forum, usually just one only. A good home reference library is worth its weight in gold (and I'm not talking about the complete Encyclopaedia Britannica)! Sorry about pontificating!
