Do you think that the losing party will dump the leader after the general election? I think Clegg will be fine unless he get's less seats than the famous David Steel, "prepare for governement" era!

Brown will win lose or draw, I think hes only there for unity.

Cameron is safe with a win or a close defeat. A hammering (unlikley I know) hed be gone.

Liberals haven't got anyone else have they?
Just think if they dump Brown, they'll probably have Mandy as PM. God forbid! that is unless everyone votes for someone other than them which they ought to considering the unholy mess theyv'e got into.
Mandelson gave up any asperation of becoming PM when he took a seat in the Lords. It's effectively impossible to lead a Government from there now.

If Gordon Brown steps down David Milliband's probably the front runner, I'd say.

There are a number of Liberals you may remember Simon Hughes from the last contest and Vince Cable of course is currently doing himself no harm at all with the public right now.

I suspect David Davis is still skulking in the corner licking his wounds hoping to get a chance to oust Cameron
