The housemates are now playing for a prize of 50k because Eugene decided to take the 50k. Surely they cant just change the rules like that. The overall winner must be able to sue for the other 50k seeing as they entered a competition to win 100k

Not sure about any legal issues but my guess is that the housemates signed up for a prize fund of 100K without BB being totally specific about how this fund would be cut up.

Davina has said on camera that the "winner" will get 100k

Great result for Eugene though!

Well pleased for the bloke!

One of Big Brother's biggest rules is that he can change the rules at any time.
Exactly squiggle.  Bb will have covered themselves up to their necks with this kind of thing.  I'm sure it's legit.  Can't really believe 50k is gone....if I could have guessed who would take it it would be Eugene and Kinga anyway.  ANTHONY LOVIN YOUR WORK x
The contestants will have signed very detailed contracts before entering the house and I expect the winning of prize money would be "binding in honour only".  The terms would provide that BB can revoke or change the prize at any time, without notice.

Sue them for what?

"I entered a competition I had no guarantee of winning, (incidentally like all competitions), I only won 50k, so now I want the other 50k I had no claim to in the first place"

Thanks for making the point. I'm now off to sue Camelot for not awarding me the jackpot every week.
