Being paid hours worked
At the being of December 2008 I changed working 7.5 hours on a Saturday to working two days a week. Because I would only be working short days to cover other peoples lunches I said that I would do 2 days at 4 hours a day. We have plans which shows us what we should being every day and the plans always show me working 4 hours (10-2) with no breaks. I have just found out that they have still been paying me for 7.5 hours a week since December 2008. I haven't signed a contract in years but they are saying that they have found a contract which says that I work 7.5 hours but this must be really old. I have heard that they are trying to get me to take time off instead of paying me. Its not a great deal of money - about £230 but when you work for Boots which is a massive company its not like they can't afford to pay me what they owe me. I don't have anything in writing about what hours I was working but they do the plans so they must know that I work 4 hours. Can thay refuse to pay me as I am seeing the manager again tomorrow and want to know where I stand on this. Thanks.

They can confirm your hours are only 7.5 hours.
But I assume you would want to claim payment for the 0.5 extra hours you have worked each week. Have you asked them about that? Is there anything written down that makes it clear your hours have been 10-2?
