A few years ago my brother dropped a roller of white paint onto the roof and it rolled down leaving white marks. Would these still be able to be removed using white spirits or would something else have to be done. I've not tried anything yet and am just wondering as it's quite inaccessible and would rather know what I'll need before I start climbing.

If its emulsion it should come off with warm water, if its gloss it mught be quicker to turn the tiles over.
I find the best way to get rid of paint is scraping it off with a razor blade.
Paint stripper?
be careful using anything on slate because it is porous...you might get tge apint off and leave a dark mark of the stripper. Eventually the weather will deal with it, but I reckon a razor blade might be the best option if you must

Would a pressure washer work?

As I say its been on there for 3 or 4 years so the weather has done nowt. I'll try the razor blade then. I don't think a pressure washer would work plus its an awkward roof to get at. Thanks.
