who would do that?! And how lightly to get away with it. It makes me sick, and angry! What do you think? I can't see that anyone could not be outraged to be honest, but need to vent, or else the bf's ear will fall off!

As usual, the Wail has been selective with the facts. The arrangement by which he has to pay a nominal £1 is one which then allows them to go back again later when he accrues some funds and get some more back. If they screwed him now for any more then that would be final, this "nominal" arrangement allows a second bite.

[Got these facts from another red-top, so they may be wrong too, any legal eagles know any better ?]
I agree re the Scum Scale incidentally
Couldn't agree more, total scum. His wife not questioning more why their standard of living had increased so dramatically is a bit sus too I think. That poor little girl.
Evil calculating disgusting piece of work, this story is just so sad and the courts decision beggars belief.

Yes, a bit sus all round I think. Just makes me question the society we are living in, you know what would have happened to him 150 years ago...everything seems pants to be honest, but this does make me smile and restore my faith in humanity (animal wise anyway)

He has to pay the bank, not his niece, as the bank has repaid all the money.
