I have a lovely white Quickstep laminate flooring downstairs. Due to my children spilling drinks on the stairs and landing carpet I wonder if any AB ers have laminate on their stairs? If so, does it work well and was it expensive to install?
It is so easy to keep clean and is ideal for a house with children.

Agree with Roaldo it would be incredibly noisey
And dangerous with youngsters
Actually, I laid 3/4 inch real hardwood in several rooms last year, including some stairs. The boards were laid across the stairs (from wall to wall) and look and perform very nicely. I did find, at our local DIY store bull nose in lengths to finish the top front of the stair tread. The bullnose comes in several different colors and should match, fairly closely any choice in laminate.

Talk to the supplier for best advice.

By the way, here's a good how-to video of th eprocess...
