I remember the show the first rime around and then the repeats on a sunday afternoon in the early 1970s, it will be interesting to see how they've done it, hopefully with less dodgy studio shots with the fake back ground lol

The remake is being done in Namibia, I believe.
it will be interesting to see how it progresses, and what they do for an ending.
Sorry dot,
I DID watch it,and thought it was rubbish, the only thing the two have in common id the name, nothing else.
Of course, during it,it slowly dawned on me that it was (with the exception of Ian McKellen) a totally American production.
So I can see WHY it is rubbish now.
Who is James Caviezel, and should I have heard of him?
BTW,apparently it's all filmed in a desert in Namibia, lord knows why;don't they have suitable deserts in the USA?
i must admit i watched it for Jim. I don't remember the original and quite enjoyed it. I was fascinated by number 6's disappearing and reappearing jacket though. it quite distracted me from the story. Any one else notice it?
I recorded it, but haven't watched it yet. I enjoyed the original, but agree with dot, having Jim Caviezel makes it worth watching. Mr V - Jim's been in loads of films: Deja Vu, The Thin Red Line, GI Jane, High Crimes etc etc. He's a major star and is absolutley gorgeous!!
