Justice? There will never be justice for the loss of life as opinion differs greatly about who was to blame for the tragedy.

Agreed Daffy. The old bill for opening the entrance gate, the old bill for NOT opening the fence emergancy gates, or the thousands of fans that turned up without tickets. The 96, and thier families, deserve closure.

Exactly my point Dusdus! The police were damned if they did and damned if they didn't open the gate. The people in the Stadium who died were crushed to death by fans who turned up without tickets, they should never have been there and should be equally to blame as the police who allowed them into the ground.

Along with the Bradford City fire disaster, the images from Hillsborough on that day are forever burned into my memory. It's something I'd rather not remember, but, it's something that should never be forgotten.

I hope the families get closure sooner rather than later.

Have just been watching the Service live from Anfield and it's always very moving.
There will be justice eventually when the truth comes out, it's 21 Years and counting.

Wharf, what a stupid answer! There has never been an accusation that the police assaulted the 96 fans who sadly lost their lives so your comparison is ridiculous.

You need to find who was actually responsible before you apportion blame.

Having been at that ill fated game can I say that one of the factors was the side pens as there was no where for people to move to once the gates had been opened.
