pet rabbit's second litter
3 Answers
my rabbit has three week old babies and is due another litter in (we think!) about another week. I have two questions:
Is this a second pregnancy, or the second part of a double pregnancy? I have read that it is too soon to have a different litter and that they have two wombs. Has anyone heard of this happening?
And should I leave the original nest (the babies are running about now) for her to use again, or will she want to make a new nest?
I would really appreciate any advice!

Rabbits only have one womb but it is biramous (pronged, horned shapes or whatever) and can indeed have two pregnancies from different bucks, but one is usually aborted or absorbed.
