LOFEPRAMINE antidepressants

Hi i have been on lofepramine antidepressants for 4 weeks now and if anything my mood has got worse and im suffering terrible side effects!
Just wondering if anyone has any feedback please.

Well I am not on this particular antidpressant, but on reading up it seems to have the same sides as mine did. I like you was devasted to be seemingly sent into a worse state than before. It did slow and then stop after a few weeks, so I hope the same happens for you, if in doubt go back to doctor don`t stop suddenly.

Thanks mamyalynne - yes ive done some research and its not good looking at the feedback. Im continuing to take them and will speak to doctor next week and see what happens.
I have to say im really struggling though - mind you i suppose the tough time im going through at moment wont help but we all have to deal with life i guess.
Im just taking each day as it comes and fingers crossed things will get better soon!

Different anti depressants have different effects on different people, so if this doesn't suite , try another.
I had post natal depression and found that Seroxat, although not a popular choice made me so happy!! However, it did stop me having any chance of an orgasm! Wouldn't think that a small 20g tablet could do that but there you go!!

Thanks Le Chat - im off to see doctor next week so hopefully will be able to talk about alternatives! Really need something though im strugling mind you i am going through pretty rough time so guess that doesnt help!

Dear Confused,
A few years ago i had a second bout of depression and was prescribed Prozac. id never taken these before and they made me feel worse than ever, really depressed, suiciadal thoughts etc. I went back to my GP who changed my medication and i felt great within 2 weeks. I advise you to see your doctor straight away and ask him to change the medicaton. Dont suffer any more, i know how you must be feeling. There are other Antidepressants out there. good luck.
