I think it's crazy.

It's a real shame because it denies people who genuinely deserve compensation.

Yeah I think some of it was a bit steep.. A council worker was saying fair enough claim the council but it comes from your own or our pockets anyhow because of taxes etc...!! The wee boy got 2250 for the toe!! Xx

I got compensation once. I did get hit on a pedestrian crossing though. It took me over a year to fully recover but now problems are starting to arise again.

Schools no longer have climbing frames in their playgrounds and probably don't allow skipping ropes. The very people who complain about "elf and safety" are the very same people who are responsible for its enforcement. If their child fell off a climbing frame, they'd immediately consult an injury lawyer. It's all about the money, sadly. The modern proliferation of injury claims is the reason why privilieges and fun have been removed.

It's ridiculous, we used to laugh at the blame culture in the US but now it's as bad here, nobody's responsibile for their own actions. The bloke with the razor did at least have the razor fall to bits when he used it.

I can't remember why the council had to pay... He got his foot caught or something... A mum was suing the school her kid went to cos she bloody fell in the mothers race or something I mean cum on!!!!!!!!!!! One council was sued Cos woman sitting under tree had branch fall on her... I can kind ov see both sides... I mean ur in a park sitting under tree so it's a risk however the council didn't hav checks in place and apart from paging compensation to the lady a new cost of checking each tree regulary would hav to be put in place!! Xx
