sky epg question

We had our sky plus hd box replaced a few weeks ago, and the engineer said that the epg should be updated within 24 hours, obviously it hasn't (we have the old/ original sky planner), we rang sky who where to be frank useless (on two separate occasions, just to see if the answer would change) they said we would have to wait until the epg updated itself.

So anyway to cut this long boring explanation short, is there any way to update the epg yourself? thanks.

Check signal quality over 50% first in setup.
Disconnect box from power
Remove card
Reconnect power while holding in backup button for 10s
All led's should come on
Wait til reboots and screen shown
insert card
That should be it
Installed firmware is shown in System info screen.
Wait a while .. sometimes 15m.
