Change, what change?

Cameron has put forward his reasons for selecting the Conservaties. It is based on the one word 'CHANGE'

But change to what? He has gave the names of 2 former ministers and says they will revive our fortunes. But the people he quoted were WILLIAM HAGUE and KEN CLARKE. Both of them proved almost useless before so what can we expect of them now?

When you have had ANY party in power for a long time and people are fed up with them then the one thing that appeals to voters is change (Clegg is saying the same thing).

So you cant blame Cameron for using "change" as part of his election package.

The problem nowadays is that we tend to concentrate on the leader of a party and take little interest in the other major players in the party.

Apart from Clegg and Cable how many people could name another Liberal?

Before Labour got in in 1997 how many could name more than Blair, Brown and maybe Prescott / Mandellson.

Until a party gets into power most of us have no idea how the whole PARTY will perform, we only really know the leader.

p.s. I have a lot of time for Hague and feel he is a better / stronger leader than Cameron, he just took the job too early all those years ago. He will be party leader again one day.

Labour have spent massive amounts on the NHS and new schools after they were left to crumble under the Tories. The benefits are there for all to see. Watch that funding disappear under Cameron.

Resistant to Change

A person who is reluctant to accept changes and new ideas

A member of a Conservative Party bourgeois: conforming to the standards and conventions of the middle class; "a bourgeois mentality"

People who generally like to uphold current conditions and oppose changes.

A person whose political philosophy is generally based on tradition and social stability, stressing established institutions, and preferring gradual development to abrupt change.
