some of the keys on my laptop have become difficult to press causing missing letters spaces etc and feel as if there is something underneath then prventing them operating properly Are the do the tops just "press" on and can they be easily removed for cleaning or do they require any special tools etc?
the key caps can be very easily removed for cleaning.
It's the getting them back on again that can be the tricky bit, it's very easy to break the little plastic frame they clip onto if you are not really careful.
I'd see if you can get an airline on it and blow the crap out from under the keys before risking taking them apart.
I've now cured the key board thanks to quick session with the miele vaccum and everything seems ok (after I'd rescued the backspace key from the hoover bag). Once again thanks everybody for your advice
