active x?
ive had some emails that arent showing the pictures that come with them, not attachments, it says if i cant seee them then its something to do with active x i have, can somebody please explain and tell me how to see them, many thanks

You can check first ... Control Panel/Display/Advanced/Troubleshoot tab .. check slider is turned up to top.
Start/Run .. enter dxdiag
Go through the test tabs and read what says in bottom window. It takes a while and needs you to click a few things.
If you need latest DirectX download ... (you can install anyway .. most DVD or video users keep updated)

^ good advice for checking directX, not sure what it's got to do with ActiveX though.
First off I would be worried about receiving an email that has activex content, unless it is from a highly trusted source I would delete them straight away.
if it is from a trusted source then email them back and ask them to send the email again with the pictures as attachments and not as embedded HTML of any sort
