Apparently Peppa Pig was to be used at a Labour party election even,.but the company which licenses the children's TV character said "it had agreed the character should not attend the event to avoid any controversy".

Now I wonder who could possibly cause any controversy over such a harmless cartoon character?

Seems fairly obvious to me that the owners of a children's TV character wouldn't want it to appear affiliated with a political party.
AOG - do you watch Peppa pig in the mornings , while your'e having your bowl of cornflakes ?
Jesus, my three year old is gonna end up a Labour supporter.
Thomas the Tank Engine is a good old fashioned tory though!!
Wonderful quote from Mandy here: "It's all far, far too political for me to understand."

Seems there is a ban on Peppa Pig as far away as Croatia,.as well as a ban on alcohol and pork from all restaurants.
AOG

Can't you read your own link. The so called ban is not in Croatia it is in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

You probably missed it because it happen abroad, but there a big war there and a lot of the muslims were ethnically cleansed (nice words for killed).
