Surely the entire point of the storyline is that Audrey is a rich widow flattered by a younger man - even though he is doing it from a 'professional' point of view.

If it was Carla paying for an escort, no-one would believe it for a second. She'd only have to step into the street, smile, and wait for a disorderly queue to form ...!
