What is the best internet protection available, a program that stops everything harmful without restricting my everyday use?

you'll need several things - anti virus to stop virus's,a firewall to block other harmful progs & anti-spyware to get rid of naughty little spying progs.

these can all be downloaded free.best examples are grisoft for anti-virus,zone alarm or sygate for firewall and microsoft or adaware for spyware

I'd be VERY carefull when clicking on those free serial numbers / warez websites.. most are full of viruses.
