if you keep taking it out and putting it back in it will get sore. you may find you can't even get the stud back in. Ask at the piercers if they have any discreet studs you can wear whilst healing, or even flat studs.
Why not find out your work's position on nose studs? If they don't mind, you're fine, and it they don't then you have to think carefully about whether a nose stud is worth your job, or whether it's worth the pain if you then have to take it out for work and ruin the healing process and can't wear it anyway.
If you take it out for 4 hours before the three month healing period is up, it will start to heal up and putting the stud back in will become quite painful. I'd check with your work before you do it if I were you.
im getting mine done too and my piercer is really nice and my moms friend so we talked about the options and she said some people can get it pierced with a clear retainer and wiat for it to heal and once it heals y0ou can take it out ..just make sure you NEVER get it pierced with a type of stud called a "bone" it looks like a regular earing with a lttle metal ball at the end to keep it in ... theprblem with gettting it pierced with that is that the hole heals to small and you cant get it out so you have cut it out.. get it pierced with either a fish (and stud that is bent at the end tokeep it in) or a CBR (captive bead ring)
