I am sure I read somewhere that Nicholas and his wife helped a young girl who had been raped and dumped in the middle of nowhere - he refused to speak about it but the victim said they were both very kind and helpful to her - so for that reason alone he has always had my respect

I reckon NP is OK.

He used to get a lot of stick for being pedantic over the rules on 'Sale of The Century', but he justified his approach by saying there was no time for 're-takes', so they had to enforce the rules and let that be seen in the final broadcast.

He does 'Just A Minute' very well.
