How many cannot be touched by this Ad?

It got me thinking, in this era of technology, digital cameras, video cameras, and DVDs. it is within everyone's reach to record life's progress of their children, from birth to adulthood, day by day.

It's a great Ad and might inspire people to just do that.
Whilst it's a nice advert and it is...it's ok...it cost 6 million to make? Seriously? Ruddy hell!
6 million well spent with the amount of talk about it.
It doesn't seem an excessive amount for just an advert to anyone else?

Would JL even make that back then? They'd have to make an additional 6 million and then some on top of it just to recuperate.
I find the lyrics to be a little unkind..........or am I the only one out-of-step on this ?
I was thinking something similar Jack. Where some of the lyrics suit...some of them sound a bit inappropriate for what they are trying to portray.

Which is what advertising is all about.

/// Although the ad spans the human life cycle, it has been done before not to long ago, showing the different decades in which the product, rather than the person ///

I presume you are referring to the Hovis (or at least some bread) advert.

Yes that one was superb, and the depicted atmosphere of the various decades was spot on.
And Fairy Liquid...but that ad is boring.
IF you want to see the best example fo this (and is mentioned in the article)

Disneys UP!!!! my goodness this film is one of the best films ive ever seen but it also made me blub like a baby!!! I dont often cry at films but ive watched this film twice and cried 4 times!!!! and it has a similar scene to the JL ad but done even better!
Agree with the comment on UP - in my opinion the best part of the film is the first 10 min section.

AOG - you might like this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6B26asyGKDo - there are a few similar ones as well - essentially it is a person (Noah) who takes a picture of himself every day in the same pose.
