27d Caribbean fruit - West maybe imports some? Not so(5) ??MEE not sure of the letters but I thought the "me" could be from "some - not so". I'm probably completely on the wrong track, so could someone help please?

Hi again K and thanks. I didn't realise there was so much to it. I only buy The Observer very occasionally and hadn't come across the clue-writing bit before. I wish I could make up a cryptic clue but I find it impossible. Have you won one of these clue-writing competitions?

I've won the Azed Prize crossword several times but only had an 'honourable mention' in the clue writing.
If you read the Honours Board you'll see the names of some well known setters.
