When it rains - it pours.
The nature of random events is that periodically apparent coincidences arise. The digits of pi approach a random distribution demonstrating this phenomenon. For instance, seven sequential sevens appear sporadically in the decimal representation of pi, at positions:
3,346,228
3,775,287
14,233,532
24,658,601
24,658,602
24,658,603
35,875,631
43,694,095
49,894,382
etc.
Note that this pattern (7777777) repeats 3 consecutive times after only the third appearance of this sequence. That is because there are nine sequential sevens at this point in the pi digit sequence.
Randomness and coincidence is only an apparent phenomenon, contingent on a lack of understanding of complex mechanisms. Once understood, randomness/coincidence is found invariably to be an illusion of incomplete understanding.
