So I just got a phonecall from a recruitment agency to tell me that the job I applied for I wasnt chosen for interview because they are now looking for someone to do a bit more than was advertised. Thing is I already have an interview thursday with the same company but through a different agency lol. I did have an inkling that I had applied for same job through different agencies but has made me laugh how one has now rang to say I havent got to interview stage.

yer I think she felt a bit silly when I said I had interview. Maybe the company just said that to them rather than say I'd already applied through another agency so they didnt get in trouble for using 2. I just hope they dont now go back to the company to complain.

were the two cvs and application forms identical?

my CV was yes. The ads however were not and first recruitment agency that rang wasnt allowed to say company name until I got interview so I wasnt sure if same job

I would say, go girl! and good luck. Your objective was to get an interview and you did it albeit by unconventional means. However, it worked, I mite try that and reccomend it! Could be that they actually prefer the other agency or they would prefer to pay that particular agency. Friends etc. Anyway GL and let us know how you get on!

I didnt do anything wrong, it was them that advertised with loads of agencies. at least I'm a trier :-)
