Yes,I know it's all over bar the shouting, but this is till a valid question.
You kno the voting registration card you get,and and can show tho the official who gives you your voting slip?
Well, in all elections up till now (both Local and General) it has been a postcard sized card, yet in this election it has suddenly increased(well in our area at least) to an A4 size card.
I asked the election official about it,and they said quite a few people had commented on it,but they didn't know why either.
Does anyone know why,
and was it A4 size in all areas,or just ours?

Doubling the size of the card won't cut down less trees!

ours was A5 I suspect its to do with having a large enough sized font so its easy to read

Thanks B00,
Thats what I wanted to try and find out.So it seems it was up to the Council then what size the card was?
Ahhh right. Well our council is cheap, hence smaller cards :P
So is ours since we became a unitary - definitely A5
Question Author
Not at all B00,
Unlike our(and it seems many) councils yours is not only saving money, but it is saving paper/card,and therefore saving, in the long run, trees!
Thart's why if your going to send a postal vote, they also give you a registration card - to use up twice as many trees, pay twice as many envelope stuffers etc. never mind - it's all out of our council tax
