no one today so far wants to go to the US with a criminal record !!! they should have one whole section for these people, who mostly know the answer before they post.
I must admit that the thought of being banned does stop me wanting to thump people like traffic wardens etc

it's not always that simple; you can never be sure what criminal records count with the Americans and what don't. Apparently the advice they give out on their website differs in some ways from what you actually fill out on the green cards, so it seems they aren't too sure either.
