Ghost in my monitor or

I arrange my icons on my desktop in an order I can work with easily ,lately the icons have been moving all to one side , without any input from me ,any ideas why please.

right click on the desktop and look under both view and sort by.

you probably have it set to auto arrange the icons on the view menu, but check you are not sorting them by anything as well.

right click on the desktop go to arrange icon on the dropdown menu and remove the check marks if there are any. It can be done by single left click on the respective row.
