I'm cooking a mighty beef stew. Chunks of lean beef and mixed root veggies slowly braised in red wine and wheat beer and served with minty mash, broccoli, runner beans, carrots and peas....

We had roast sirloin of beef with a horseradish mustard crust, crispy golden roasties, new boiled potatoes, spring greens, brocolli, new season carrots, roast parsnips and garden peas rich beefy gravy, then there was either treacle tart, hot apple pie with cinnamon ice cream/whipped cream or a lemoncurd and raspberry cheesecake for pud
Had a "big breakfast" at my parents so skipped lunch. Having a home made curry tonight.

Mercia... you do now how to excite the old tastebuds...

TTG... curry is just my ultimate favourite nosh.
Cripes, mercia ... I would have been round !!

I had the hangover from hell, and I could hardly think, let alone make food.

So ... I went to see Daddy and Mums, and they fed me.

=0)

I know, I know ... I sometimes feel as though I'm taking the p!ss a bit, as well.

But hey ... that's what parents are for !!

Oh don't be daft, JJ. My mother would have me round hers every sunday if she had her way...
I know, HB ... they love it really.

Mums always prepares Sunday lunch as if twenty guests were coming round, even when it's only her and Daddy eating it.

And Daddy knows, if I turn up on a Sunday, that either ...

1. I've been and got trolleyed the night before, or

2. I've forgotten to do any shopping, or

3. I want to scrounge some more wine.

Vibe ... nice blog.

But ... "sexy soup"

That chicken soup looked about as sexy as my great aunts (sorry, aunts, if you're reading this!)

It looked like something that you'd only get fed if you were

(a) ill, or

(b) Jewish

beejay ... that looks quite nice, actually.
beejay ... it sounds like that bread in The Lord Of The Rings, made by the Elves, and one bite could keep you going all day.
the mass produced stuff isnt great-but small home bakeries here all do their own-far nicer-
builders brekkie here-filled soda-split soda with egg/bacon / sausage
Phwooooarr ... Yummy !!!!!!!
