Cat friendly weed removal
8 Answers
I live in a rented house and have a garden with a paved bit at the front of the garden between the house and the lawn.
There are a load of weeds growing between the paving slabs, mainly things like dandelions.
I want to get the garden in shape a bit. Quite like the long grass in the garden as the cats seem to love playing in it but want to tidy up the paved bit.
Am a little concerned about putting weed killer down as the cats go out and play and like eating the grass so wanted to check whether it is safe to use weedkillers or if I need particular cat friendly ones or not to use it at all and try another way.

Need to find myself some time and enthusiam now! I really should make more of an effort, my dad is a fantastic gardener, seriously greenfingered and much as I'm not sure I'll ever get into it as deeply as he is (he now has two greenhouses and a shed and boxes and boxes of seedlings and cuttings and all sorts) I'd love to have a proper garden to look after, maybe when I finally get on the property ladder.
Could so some pots though I guess. I'm more a wildflower girl though I think haha :)

You can get these gas powered torches on the end of a long metal tube.At the you just go round the garden direct the tube at the weed, press the trigger, intense flame appears and shrivels weeds.

You don't have to buy them from this site as they are gennerally quite readily available from garden centres etc.
