Why are some of the dates blanked out on 'You've been framed'?

Probably cos they are sooo old. You only have to look at some of the clips to see they are really old, by the clothes and stuff.

last night some as old as 1991 were not blanked out but other were. I started to wonder if it was more recent ones covered up - surely no copyright reasons??

A lot of these clips are bought from the other companies that make similar shows for the States, Germany and Japan etc, it may be those countries that are blanking out the dates, so the tapes the British team receive are already altered.

Or they have been shown on other TV stations with the logo in the corner and some other stations have blanked them out?
