hiya! for once i get to open this thread, although it's because i'm not well and been woken up by pain. clear blue skies here down south and i have a day off (yay!). hopefully, all of you are ok and will have a lovely day...x
was the out of hours one, boxtops. their base is about 1/2 mile from my house, so if i do ring they generally turn up sharpish. plus, i have no transport and there was no way i would be able to walk the 2 miles to my usual surgery, but my gp is also very good too (i'm very lucky). he has come out twice in the last week to see little kicker as he has been poorly too. perhaps i should just take us all off to the vets instead...x
Hi Boxtops, I will let you know, we dont have much to do with epilepsy at work but its very usefull to be up on the subject, I dont think I will learn a great deal on the subject as I was brought up around epilepsy, having an epileptic brother that eventually (among other things) claimed his life, I also have a severe epileptic daughter who at one point was having 10+ seizures a day, So I know a fair bit, but these courses are also very interesting and I certainly dont know it all.
hi angel. when i first moved here i had a brilliant gp (after years of rubbish ones) and was gutted after 3 years when he said he was moving. dreaded the newbie i was going to be assigned to, but ended up with an even better one. i know i am lucky as my best mate just cannot even get to see her gp (he is rubbish anyway, avoidant and the receptionists are like rotweillers!) and they are even beginning to under prescribe her inhalers which she has used for years as the gp 'thinks its too much'. how can he when he doesn't even see her! tbh - i think that's a more normal gp/nhs experience so i know i am very lucky. will spend the morning recouperating and waiting for the pain to subside. hope your walkies went well x
jj - i should do a bit of laptop staring as well as i do have an essay due in two weeks...but i have a pile of sewing and will probably have to have a nap later to catch up on my sleep. eyeballs are nearly requiring matchsticks to stay open now! x
