Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere (Comedy)
Another chance to see Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights spin-off. Written by Peter Kay and Patrick McGuinness, this six-part comedy drama series is the story of Phoenix club bouncers Max and Paddy as they escape clubland in their prized motor home and take to the open road. Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere is an extraordinary road movie following the adventures of these two outlaws as they create havoc around the country. In the first episode, the two bouncers leave the Phoenix club behind them and take to the open road in their treasured motorhome. But living in a confined space starts to grate, and conflicts soon arise over Paddy's needs and Max's economising. Light relief comes in the offer of a dodgy plasma screen telly... the only problem is that they have to help steal it. In the meantime, their lack of 'home entertainment' leads them to sample the local nightspots where Max's new dance moves attract the attention of the infamous Belgrano sisters. Additional cast includes Brendan O'Carroll, Martha Cope and Christine Roberts.
