I've tried looking on AMD's website, but can't find the speed of their processors. Intel Pentium 4's are advertised as being 2.5GHz or 2.66GHz or whatever. What speed is an Athlon 2100,2100+, 2600 or 2600+ ? Do the numbers actually mean anything regarding speeds?

Divide the XP speed by 1.2 to get an approximate processing frequency. I have an Athlon XP 2100+ but it acutually runs at 1733 MHz . In short: 1700+ run at 1450 MHz, 1800+ run at 1500 MHz, 1900+ at 1600 MHz, 2000+ at 1667 MHz See http://www.sense-computers.com/acatalog/athlon_xp_

The explanation is that it is the equivalent P4 processing power because of the QuantiSpeeed yadda yadda
