I've just remembered that I deamt our white toilet bowl was really filthy, with rust stains all inside it last night.

It's always spotlessly, sparkly clean & smells nice, well apart from.....

Anyway, why would anyone dream about a toilet bowl?

Toilet

To see a toilet in your dream, symbolizes a release of emotions or getting rid of something in your life that is useless. The dream may also be brought about by your full bladder and is attempting to get you up and go to the bathroom. If you are cleaning the toilet, then it means that you are starting to shed your shell or lose your inhibitions.

To see a clogged toilet in your dream, signifies that you are holding and keeping your feelings to yourself. Your emotions have been pent up too long and you need to let go of the negative feelings.

To see an overflowing or flooded toilet in your dream, denotes your desires to fully express your emotions.

I'm curious about NoM's dream last night. Apparantly I was in it
I don't think you are in the dreamdictionaries yet... but the jug bit is...

Jug

To see a jug in your dream, symbolizes innocence, abstinence and virginity. Alternatively, the dream may be a pun on "jugs" or breasts. Particularly, if the jug is filled with milk, then it highlights maternal instinct or natural power.

To see empty jugs in your dream, represents that something is lacking in your life.

To see a broken or cracked jug in your dream, signifies infidelity.
Anxiety Smudge. I am always dreaming about being desparate to go to the loo and all I can find are filthy loos, and usually they are in public places (no cublicles - just the loo)!!

Thank you for your all answers, 'specially your explantion rowan. Yes, it could very well be anxiety then!

I've been on the lowest dose of Citalopram (10mg - one at night) for the last 6 months, but all this week, I've been weaning myself off them, alternating one every other night. So p'raps that's why I dreamt it - mind you, I've always had the most weirdest & very vivid dreams!

Lottie - your dreams sound awful too! It's bad enough finding public loos that are dirty & smelly in real life, but to dream there are no cubicles, or doors would put me in a hot sweat!
